Magányos szívek
Reménytelen magány árnyékában élnek,
szívükben a vágyak csendesen kísérnek,
szeretet után sóvárogva várnak,
egy boldog pillanatban titkon bíznak.
A szerencsét a véletlenre bízzák,
álmaik szilánkját újra összerakják,
vak randira mennek félve, remegve,
ezer kérdéssel a lelkükben, szívükben.
Gyakran a remény túl hamar elszáll,
mert nem az érkezik, kit várnának már,
elúszik a vágy, melyre oly rég vártak,
üresen maradnak a tágra nyílt álmok.
Mégis újra indulnak, bár fáj a tegnap,
mert a szív nem felejti a szebb napokat,
talán egyszer, az jön majd eléjük,
aki éjszakánként, álmukban leül melléjük.

Lonely hearts
They live beneath the shadow of hopeless solitude,
their hearts still quietly haunted by longing’s gentle mood,
they yearn for love with silent hope each day,
secretly believing happiness may find its way.
They leave their fate to fortune and to chance,
gathering the shattered pieces of forgotten romance,
they go on blind dates, trembling deep inside,
with a thousand questions their hearts can never hide.
Too often hope fades far too soon away,
for the one they dreamed of never comes their way,
the longing slips like mist into the night,
while wide-open dreams are left without their light.
Yet once again they rise, though yesterday still aches,
for the heart remembers every joy it makes,
perhaps one day the one they’ve waited for will appear,
and sit beside them softly in their dreams each night so near.
